Generative Research
Open-ended brief of designing a product around the concept of time
Exploratory diary studies with 8 participants over a week to identify recurrent problems in people's experience of passing time during the Covid lockdowns in Mumbai
Consolidating competing UX concepts to tackle core problems
Week II - VI
Evaluative Research
2 open-ended contextual inquiries with paper prototypes to identify relevant associations, motivations and gauge interest in the concept.
A quantitative survey with 56 participants to generate an understanding of different user types and this product's value propositions over existing products
Designed a concierge MVP experiment to test the core concept qualitatively and identify UX problems & opportunities with 5 participants over 2 weeks
Week VII - XI
Design & testing
Identified relevant competing apps and comprehensively understood information design approaches employed by each
Defined core design principles and translated them into UIs and UX flows
Conducted A/B tests to iterate on UX and improve usability
